Caring for someone living with dementia is an act of love, but it can also be demanding, exhausting, and isolating. Our Dementia-Specific Day Programs are designed to support both the person you care for and you. Many carers tell us that when their person attends our day programs they find:
  • Time to rest and recharge, and focus on their own wellbeing
  • Confidence their loved one is safe, supported, and understood
  • Renewed energy to continue caring at home
  • Free time to volunteer, meet friends, play golf, or enjoy a quiet day
  • Support that helps their person remain at home for longer

What we offer

  • Mobility and balance exercises
  • Live performances from professional musicians
  • Therapeutic arts and crafts
  • Cognitively stimulating games and activities
  • Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea
  • Social connection
  • Transport to and from our centres
Meaningful days in a warm, supportive setting.
Our day programs provide a warm, social, and supportive environment where participants take part in meaningful, enjoyable activities tailored to a diverse range of needs, including specialised support for those living with dementia.

Activities include gentle exercise, performances, arts and crafts, music, and cognitive stimulation, all delivered using an evidence-based approach to support wellbeing, mobility, and social connection. We also provide freshly prepared, healthy meals that cater to dietary needs, with morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea included. Transport is available to and from most locations.

In fact, in our 2024 and 2025 carer surveys, 100% of carers told us that accessing HeyDay Supports helped extend the time their loved one was able to remain living at home, and that our support positively contributed to their own overall wellbeing.

Carers Counselling

Mental health support tailored to carers.

In partnership with Sandra Kimball, a nationally recognised Carer Counsellor, we offer one-on-one mental health sessions for carers of loved ones over 65. These sessions focus on strengthening mental wellbeing so carers can be at their best in their role.
Thanks to a generous donation, we provide three FREE sessions to carers we support. Additional sessions or sessions for others are available at a subsidised rate of $15.
